Jane & Jeff

October 18, 2020

Jane & Jeff’s love story began when they were twelve years old.
They met at a friend’s party, and the rest is pretty much history!

The Newlyweds & the Red Hook Piers

On a beautiful Sunday evening in October, surrounded by their closest friends, family and 3 dogs, Jane and Jeff became Mr. & Mrs. on their rooftop in Brooklyn. Jane & Jeff’s choice of venue, their apartment, was more than just their home; it had been their dream to live in Brooklyn. The rooftop had breathtaking views of not only Brooklyn, but Manhattan and Queens - each borough playing a significant part in their story.

Prior to meeting with Jane & Jeff, I asked Jane if she had a Pinterest board so I could get a feel for their vibe. She told me “I planned my wedding on three post-it notes 5 days ago 🤣. So to answer your question, I definitely do not have a Pinterest board…and I will be wearing black!” I loved her response. I knew that this “non-traditional” ceremony would be authentic to them. And it was exactly that - so perfectly them.

When I met with Jane & Jeff prior to the ceremony, I asked if there were any specific photos they wanted. The one photo Jane requested was to incorporate the Red Hook piers that could be seen from the rooftop. She mentioned her father & brother had worked on the piers and would be great to remember them in a unique way.

There were so many elements that made this day unforgettable & symbolic. I am honored that Jane & Jeff chose me to help capture their wedding day and help tell the story through photos for years to come.

Congrats Jane & Jeff!
